1. How much will my Initial deposit be?50% of your total rental items + security deposit.
2. How much will my security deposit be?$400 for 1 room and $600 for multiple rooms. This security deposit is refundable 30 days after the event, provided there was no damage or overage during the event.
3. How much do I have to pay to reserve a room?See item 1 and 2 above
4. If I cancel my Event, do I get my deposit back?You can only get your security deposit back, only if you cancel at least 4 weeks prior to your Event. Cancellation within 4 weeks of the event will lose the security deposit as well. All other deposits are non-refundable.
5. How many weeks in advance do I have to reserve a room?It is on a first come first basis. We do NOT hold rooms for anyone, unless and until you pay your Initial Deposit and sign our
Contract.
6. How many parking spaces do you have?We have approximately 200 parking. Some additional parking may be available in open areas and off-site.
7. What is Check-in Time and Check-out Time?Check-in Time is the time when GP will open the door of the facility for you (No activity is allowed prior to that time), and Check-out Time is the time when GP will lock the facility and you can not be in the facility beyond that time
8. What do I have to buy from Goels Plaza, what can I bring of my own?All beverages have to be bought only from Goels Plaza. Food we prefer to be purchased through GP. However, you can bring your own caterer or your own food, provided you pay GP’s catering overhead fee @ $1.50 PP and your caterer has to meet our requirements as listed separately. All other items you can bring in your own, with GP’s prior written approval.
9. Can I bring my own alcoholic beverage or any other beverages?No, all beverages have to be purchased through Goels Plaza and you have to hire bartenders from Goels Plaza.
10. How much does it cost to purchase liquor from Goel’s Plaza?All such items are discussed in GP office at the time of the showing.
11. What paperwork does my caterer need to fax or mail to GP for approval?a) Signed vendor agreement; b) insurance certificate in Goels Plaza name meeting our limits; c) NC DENR’s recent certifications; d) local municipality license
12. Can I get married and have my reception at Goels Plaza?Yes, we can do a wedding chapel setup and also a reception setup. We do these events together all the time.
13. How much does a dance floor cost?We have 3 different sizes. 12’x12’ ($250); 15’x15’ ($275); and 21’x21’ ($300). We can further custom design your dance floor.
14. What does the ballroom or meeting room price include?Up to 6 continuous hours from check-in to check-out, allocated tables and chairs, setup and tear down of our furniture, basic cleaning of common areas. You can rent additional hours by paying our additional hour’s unit price in multiple of hours (no fractions allowed).
15. What is allocated furniture?Tables/Chairs: Azalea (25/200); Magnolia (30/250); Iris (20/150); Carnation (25/200); Meeting room (15/50); Lounge (4/6). These tables could be 5’ round and/or 6’ rectangular or a combination thereof and depends upon the availability.
16. Can I rent some drapes/curtains?Yes, we can rent certain sizes for you.
17. What is the latest time I can stay in the facility?You can rent the facility anytime between 7:30 AM until 12:30 AM (midnight). Facility MUST be locked by our staff latest by 1:00 AM
18. Can I bring my own cake?Yes
19. Can I bring my own food and wait staff?Yes. You have to sign our Waiver Form and pay our overhead fee.
20. What are my Cleaning responsibilities?GP expects all customers to clean all their rented areas free of all decorations, trash, food, and all other items prior to check out time.
21. Can I pay by credit card?We accept cash, checks, visa, and master card.
22. Describe your basic china package?Plain white dinner plate, clear glass appetizer /salad plate, clear glass dessert plate or bowl, water glass, 4-piece stainless steel silverware, and paper napkins.
23. Describe your premium china package?Gold rim dinner plate, salad plate, dessert plate, cup & saucer, 2 stem glasses, 4 pc SS silverware, 1-water pitcher per table, and paper napkin.
24. How much does it cost to rent linens?Table clothes ($5 to $10 each), napkins ($0.25 to $0.50/ea), skirting ($16/ea), chair cover ($3.50/ea), sash ($0.50 to $$1.50/ea).
25. What is a Caterer Facility Fee?This is the fee that you pay to GP for not using their catering. Typically, it is $1.50 per person.
26. Why do I have to pay a Caterer Facility Fee?To cover our overhead costs and loss of profit for not using our catering service.
27. How much will it cost to decorate a table? It starts at $15 (table cloth + a center piece) and can go as high as you want.
28. Is setup time included in the rental hours?We give you a total of six continuous hours from Check-in to Check-out that you can use for setup, Event, tear down, and clean-up.
29. What is setup time?Setup time is the time that you rent prior to start of the event for your decorations and for your vendors to come-in for their deliveries and their setups, such as: cake, DJ, caterer, decorator, etc. It is charged at $100 per room per hour (For Grand ballroom, it is $150 per hour). Deluxe packages normally have couple hours included for setup.
30. Can I rent different chairs?Yes, from any outside vendor at your own cost.
31. How many people can be seated at a table?Up to 10
32. Can guests park in the neighborhood parking lots?Depends upon their availability.
33. Do you have satellite parking?No. But, you can use Airport satellite parking or other public parking facilities in the vicinity and run a shuttle.
34. If my caterer has insurance, do I still have to pay the Cater Facility Fee?Yes
35. What if I rent chairs from a vendor, will the cost of chairs be deducted from my room rental fee?No
36. What if I don’t need chairs, will the cost of chairs be deducted from my room rental fee?No.
37. What are the approximate maximum ceiling heights of rooms?Azalea (15’); Magnolia (13’); Iris (12’); Carnation and all other rooms and areas (10’); Warehouse/Food Prep area (20’).
38. Can we rent any runners or special carpets?Yes, it depends upon the color and size.
39. How many people can the entire facility accommodate at any one time?999 in all combined rooms.
